BukDesk terms of use and license

BukDesk is a product of BSCALE, a site and brand of Bukchair Ltd, company no. 516675188, 95 Etrog St., Giv'at Ze'ev, Israel ("BSCALE", "we"). The software is published and signed as Bukchair Ltd. Contact: main@bscale.co.il.

Installing, using or buying a license for BukDesk means you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not install or use it. If you use it for an organization, you confirm you may bind it.

BukDesk connects your own computers. One mouse and keyboard move between them, with the clipboard and files. AI tool sessions can send each other messages, and each message waits for a person's approval. A computer can also be controlled over the internet, and its screen viewed once someone says yes. It runs on 64-bit Windows only.

Subject to these terms, you get a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and use BukDesk:

• Trial: 14 days free on each computer, with no card and no account. After that, the computer can still be controlled from one with a license.
• Purchased license: for one person, on up to 3 of their computers, one payment, no subscription. It covers the version bought and the updates published for it, and does not expire.
• Offices: each person needs their own license. An organization that buys several is responsible for assigning them.
• Beta: a pre-release build for trying only. It may have faults and does not update itself.

Copy, sell, rent or distribute the software or a license key; get around the license or trial checks; or reverse engineer it, except where the law expressly allows.

Do not use BukDesk to control a computer, view its screen or take information from it without the consent of whoever may give it, or for anything unlawful, fraudulent or harassing.

BSCALE will never call you and ask to connect to your computer. Never create an invitation for, or read a pairing code to, anyone you do not know in person, even if they say they are your bank, the police or support.

Use of the software is at the user's sole responsibility. You are responsible for what happens on the computers you connect, for whom you let control them, and for backing up your files.

Control over the internet lasts until it is ended, unless you set a time, so a computer may be in use with nobody at it. Scroll Lock or Ctrl+Alt+Shift+Backspace on that computer's own keyboard ends control at once.

The software is provided as is, with no promise that it is free of faults, uninterrupted or fit for a particular purpose. The relay may be unavailable. Windows running as administrator and the lock screen are not supported.

To the fullest extent the law allows, BSCALE is not liable for indirect, special or consequential damage, or for loss of data, profit or use. In any case BSCALE's total liability is limited to what you paid for the license in the 12 months before the event, which for the free trial and the beta is 0. Nothing here limits rights the law does not let you give up.

Where updates are on, BukDesk downloads and installs signed updates. You can turn this off in Settings. We may change, add or remove features in new versions.

The software, the BukDesk name and its marks belong to BSCALE and Bukchair Ltd. Open-source components in it are under their own licenses.

You may stop using and uninstall the software at any time. If you break these terms, your license ends. A refunded license ends on the refund, even if the software still runs on a computer with no connection.

We publish changes on the site and in the software. A material change is shown in the software and applies to use after "I understand" is pressed.

These terms are governed by the laws of Israel only. The competent courts in Jerusalem have exclusive jurisdiction. A consumer living outside Israel keeps the protections their own law gives them and that cannot be waived.

The privacy notice and the refund policy are part of these terms.
