What cookies are

Cookies are small text files stored in your browser when you visit a site. They allow the site to recognize the browser on a return visit and provide a continuous experience.

Our cookie categories

**Necessary**: essential for site operation. Cannot be opted out of. Include: session cookie (bscale_session), CSRF token, selected language (bscale_language), color theme.

**Analytics**: measure aggregate traffic and usage. By default, Google Analytics 4 (_ga, _ga_*) measurement may start when you visit the site, before you make a choice in the cookie panel, unless you reject or change preferences. GA4 cookie lifetime: up to 24 months.

**Marketing**: enable personalized advertising on external channels. Google Ads and connected platforms may run by default before you make a choice, unless you reject or change preferences.

**Error monitoring (Sentry)**: temporary session cookies for error tracking. Conditioned on analytics consent.

Managing cookies

A floating 'Cookie settings' button on every page lets you open the consent panel and change choices at any time. Selecting 'Reject all' stops full analytics and marketing measurement from that point onward.

You can also block or delete cookies via your browser settings. Blocking necessary cookies may break site functionality.

California residents - Do Not Sell or Share

California residents may toggle 'Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information' in the consent panel. The toggle applies sharing limits to marketing cookies.
